From the Circle: Coming Home
May 29, 2026Honestly? This feels surreal to write.
Kansas City is where it all started for me. Where I fell head over heels for this game, where I learned what it actually means to put in the work, and where some of my most important friendships were built on dusty diamonds and long summer evenings. The softball community here gave me so much — more than I probably understood at the time — and getting to come back and give something in return is something I genuinely don't have the right words for. It just feels right.
Softball took me on one heck of a ride. From pitching at the University of Oklahoma to coaching at Tulsa, Utah, and Oregon, I've been lucky enough to learn from incredible athletes, coaches, and programs along the way. Every single stop taught me something. Not just about the game, but about people, about growth, about what it really takes to compete when the stakes are high and the pressure is on.
Here's what I know after all of it: the stuff that separates good athletes from great ones has very little to do with mechanics alone. It's confidence. It's mental toughness. It's knowing how to shake off a bad inning and keep going. It's believing in yourself even when things aren't clicking. That's what I want to teach.
That's what Paige Parker Pitching is all about.
I'm opening this up to athletes ages 8–18 — whether your daughter is just learning to grip a ball for the first time or she's chasing a college scholarship and wants to get serious. I want this to be the kind of place where she feels challenged and supported in the same breath. Where she's seen as an individual, not just another arm in a rotation. Because every kid's journey looks different, and good coaching should meet her exactly where she is.
Beyond spin rate and velocity (though yes, we'll work on those too), I want to help young athletes walk away with something that sticks — confidence in themselves, trust in their preparation, and a genuine love for competing.
I'm so grateful softball gave me the life it did. And I'm even more grateful for this chance to pay it forward right here at home.
Thanks for being here at the very beginning of this. I cannot wait to meet your athletes and get to work. Let's go!
Paige
